WHAT IS
PLASMA GASIFICATION?


In the continuous search for clean energy sources, the ABA PROCESS FOR THE GASIFICATION OF CARBONIC MATERIALS INDUCING PLASMA FORMATION BY MEANS OF MICROWAVES is a leap forward by introducing a technology that can take advantage of virtually any organic based waste source and efficiently turn it into electricity, biofuels or alternate products.
By harnessing the power of microwave radiation through a patented plasmatron array in the reactor, waste feedstocks and other carbonic materials are heated until they are heavily ionized, forming a cloud of plasma point in the material.
The carbonic material feedstock molecules get separated and the clouds of plasma points react with superheated water vapor in order to recombine and as a result produce a synthesis gas and an inert slag. The gas is then purified and some of it can be re-fed through the reactor to achieve a complete transformation into carbon monoxide and hydrogen.

The clean gas can then be processed through a Fischer-Tropsch reaction stage, where part of the synthetic gas condensates into a liquid, which can then be refined to produce bio-fuels, or be routed through gas turbine generators to produce electricity. The syngas can also be carried through a scrubber where it can be processed and separated into several petrochemical subproducts.
